From crafting a one-off couture piece from scratch, through to embellishing existing pieces to suit your style or occasion.
Bespoke additions can include elements such as giving a dress more length, adding or removing sleeves, and adding additional touches of detail such as embroidery. She can also transform couture pieces into bridal gowns by
reconstructing it in an elegant white fabric of your choice.
Farah’s desire is to give every woman the chance to wear something she’ll feel amazing in. Oftentimes something simple may hold them back, like a dress that exposes too much skin. These are changes she is happy to make to ensure you will feel amazing in garments that inspire you.
Important notes:
– Bespoke pieces cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason. As such, it is important you consider exactly what you want before you submit your request.
– If you are able to wear the piece as it is, we strongly recommend you keep it as Farah intended it. This is because each piece has been carefully designed with the perfect proportions of fabric and flair. It is important to stay true to the designer’s vision.
Ready-To-Wear Alterations
Farah can make changes to pieces from her existing collections. Simple requests like adding sleeves can be made while the collection is selling. However, any requests requiring lots of fabric can only be met when a collection has been newly launched.
These requests include:
– Extending the length of an item
– Re-creating the item in a different colour
– Changing the size of an item
– Adding a matching piece
The longer a collection has been live on the website, the harder it is to meet your requests as unfortunately there may not be enough of the right fabric required to do so. Depending on the scale of the request, an additional cost may be applied. However, please enquire as Farah will do everything in her power to make your dream garment a reality.
Crafting Couture
Each couture piece is made to order. These need to be ordered directly from Farah along with your unique measurements. The designer creates each piece by hand and wants to make sure it fits you perfectly. Should you have small changes you’d like, she’s happy to work with you to customise certain elements.
Because each couture piece is handcrafted by Farah, many hours of labour go into each one. As such, they cannot be mass produced or shipped immediately. She requires a minimum of 3 weeks to create a piece. However, depending on the design, some garments may take longer. Should you have a special occasion you desire a garment for, please make sure to get in touch with enough time beforehand.
All Farah’s couture pieces are timeless and never follow the changing seasons. This means they are available to be ordered and created at any time of the year. Please note, couture items will never go on sale or be discounted.
One-Of-A-Kind Design
Whether it’s a custom made wedding dress or a one-of-a-kind couture garment, Farah can turn your dreams into a couture reality. She makes custom pieces, designed from scratch to suit your heart’s desires.
Every one-of-a-kind garment will require an appointment with Farah at her atelier in Kuwait. She will welcome you into her space of inspiration. Here she will need to spend some time with you to get a feel for your aesthetic, understand your wishes and to take your measurements. This ensures she can craft the perfect piece, designed specially for you. As such, each garment will require a minimum of one month to be created. This may include a prototype piece for your initial approval.
Please note, one-of-a-kind pieces cannot be ordered via phone or email alone, they will require an appointment at the atelier.
